A groundbreaking clinical trial underway in Adelaide could change the way concussion is treated worldwide. The STARFAST trial, led by US biotech company Astrocyte Pharmaceuticals in partnership with South Australian researchers and football clubs, is testing a new drug designed to protect and repair brain cells after head injuries.
